Fee Levy Opt Outs

What is a Fee Levy?
Fee levies are student funded groups that operate as independent non-profit organizations with missions to serve the Concordia Community.
This includes us! Here are a few but there are many more:
- People’s Potato
- Centre for Gender Advocacy
- The Link
- etc.
What does it mean to opt-out?
Opting out means you are refunded the fee paid alongside your tuition and rescind your right to any of our services, including attending our events, or participating at our Annual General Meeting. As our organization relies on these fees as our sole source of income, we would appreciate if it if you didn’t opt out, and they rarely cost more than a few dollars!
What does Queer Concordia do with my fee?
Take a look at our Services page to see the full list of what you’d be missing out on!
- Free Events
- Community Funds
- & More!
Can I opt back in?
Fees are paid every semester and thus you need to opt out during the designated period:
- Fall Semester
- Winter Semester
- Summer Semesters
Anyone who has been or is a part of the Concordia Community is free to pay the equivalent full time student fee (24¢) to become a member that is able to access our services
- Former Students
- Graduate Students
- Staff
- Faculty
How do I opt-out and get refunded?
Head to this page and follow the steps listed, the money from all associated fee levies you choose to opt out of will be refunded all at once.
I was too late to opt out, what do I do?
Queer Concordia does not process the opt outs ourselves, they are processed by the Refugee Centre fee levy group. Please contact them if you are having any difficulties as we do not process the opt outs.
